I have been working on setting up the new exhibition in the Amsterdam Historical Museum. It's about men and fashion and it opens October first. I have been so busy with it for the last couple of weeks!!! But it has been so great working with all the suits and gorgeous historical costumes.
One of the things I did was helping young designers put their outfits on mannequins. Just dressing them up and styling the clothing made me view the folds of the clothing very thoroughly. I saw how folds work when a person takes a specific pose. It has been so helpful for my drawings! I never would have imagined.
I really learned that for an artist it is extremely important to sometimes just look at things again very thoroughly to see how it all works.
