Cookie anyone? Since this could be the cover of a cookie case...
Contest entry for The thing you had to do was: 'Draw an original character in winter clothing, from any historical era before 1950, and connect your image to any of the three poems listed above.'
And I also had the idea from reading the rules that you are not allowed to exactly copy a costume from a fashion plate etc but it must still be very accurate... Well I hope I did right... after all this still very historically accurate ^^ It's my version of the 1850 winter costume. (example: [link])
I chose the poem of Lowell [link] and I hope when you read it you find a connection. I took some elements from it but mostly after reading this image just formed in my head. It's kinda kitsch but hey, that's the 19th century ^^
